Thomas Degasperi

Thomas is one of the most
accomplished water skiers in the World. The 2007 and 2008 World Slalom
Champion lives half of the year in his home town of Trento, in Northern
Italy, and the winter in Orlando, FL. Thomas began his passion for water
sports at the very young age of 5 years old.
Thomas is one of the most accomplished water skiers in the World. The 2007 and 2008 World Slalom Champion lives half of the year in his home town of Trento, in Northern Italy, and the winter in Orlando, FL. Thomas began his passion for water sports at the very young age of 5 years old. He trained on the water over the summers and during the winter he did many different sports such as snow skiing, soccer, tennis, judo, and swimming. At the age of 14 Thomas won his first junior major title, the European Championships. Since that time he took Water skiing in a different way. He won the U-21 Europeans Championship twice, the European Open Slalom title four times, the 2007 and 2008 World titles, the Malibu Open title, Ski West Pro, New Zealand Pro Am and many more. Thomas graduated from ULM (University of Louisiana at Monroe) in December 2006 where he had been recruited to be part of the Water Ski Team in 2002. In those 4 years of college Thomas won one individual National title and 2 Team titles. Thomas trains with his father, Marco, and the Italian Federation coach, Bubu Alessi, during the summer.
