| Edges GOODE Ski Technologies
recommends a one degree base edge bevel. This aids in the
skis' superior gliding characteristics by keeping the
base edge slightly off the surface of the snow. A side
edge bevel equal to that of the based edge is also
recommended so that a 90 degree edge is maintained. This
allows for the best overall performance in all
conditions.
Base
GOODE skis come
from the factory with a precision stone-ground finish for
the best performance in all conditions. Because of the
high molecular weight ISO-speed graphite sintered base
used in their construction, the skis should always be
stone ground after any belt sanding is performed. Any
rock damage should be repaired using a base weld. It is
recommended that the ski base always have a coat of
graphite impregnated wax to prevent severe drying of the
base.
