PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS Skiing can be safe and fun for all levels of enthusiasts. The Operator’s Manual is presented to enhance your enjoyment of the sport. It is intended to alert you to some of the potential dangerous conditions that can arise in all sports. The ski pole strap, even if properly adjusted, may or may not release in a fall which could result in injury to the wrist, shoulder, ankle, knee, leg or other parts of the body. To reduce your risk of injury or death, follow these guidelines: · Use correct size skis and pole. Bindings should be adjusted by a professional. · Inspect skis and poles prior to use and look for wear, cracks, delamination or tearing. · The faster you ski, the greater your risk of injury. Exercise additional caution when skiing at competitive speeds. Beginners should ski at slower speeds that allow for reasonable control and stability. · Skiing instruction is recommended before use. Instruction will teach general safety guidelines and proper skiing techniques, which may reduce your risk of injury. SPORTS SAFETY CODE: Sports are fun and challenging but involve inherent risks of injury or death. To increase your enjoyment of the sport and to reduce your risks, use common sense and follow these rules: Before you start: · Familiarize yourself with all applicable federal, state and local laws, the risks inherent in the sport and the proper use of the equipment. · Know the mountain. · Always ski with another person. · Use caution and common sense. Your equipment: · Inspect all equipment prior to use. Check grips, shaft and baskets prior to each use. Do not use if damaged. NATIONAL SKI AREAS ASSOCIATION SAYS: 1. Always stay in control.2. People ahead of you have the right of way. 3. Stop in a safe place for you and others. 4. Whenever starting downhill or merging, look uphill and yield. 5. Use devices to help prevent runaway equipment. 6. Observe signs and warnings, and keep off closed trails. 7. Know how to use the lifts safely. KNOW THE CODE. IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
