Edges
GOODE Ski Technologies recommends a one-half
to one degree base edge bevel as a starting point for the Exile. This aids in
the snowboard's superior gliding characteristics by keeping the base edge
slightly off the surface of the snow. A side edge bevel equal to that of the
based edge is also recommended so that a 90 degree edge is maintained. This
allows for the best overall performance with the least amount of maintenance.
Base
The Exile comes from the factory with a precision stone ground finish for
the best performance in all conditions. Because of the high density
carbon/graphite base used in its construction, the snowboard should always
be stone ground after any belt sanding is performed. It is recommended that
the ski base always have a coat of graphite impregnated was to prevent severe
drying of the base.
