Binding Mounting Instructions

Quality binding installation is essential for maximizing snowboard performance and ensuring proper binding function. The following instructions will enhance this quality.

    Location

Bindings should be mounted in the provided holes using a standard 4 x 4 binding. Begin by placing the bindings approximately shoulder-width apart, and centered on the board. This will provide the most balanced and neutral board performance. More experienced riders can begin with their stance 1" back of center, which makes the board more stable at speed.

    Angles

The snowboarder's boot sole length will determine the amount of angle on the bindings. With the boot centered in a binding, rotate the binding until the boot toe and heel are directly over the edge of the board with no overhang. The larger the boot sole, the greater the angle should be. If the boots hang over the (too little of an angle) the snowboarder's heels and toes will drag causing a fall. If the boots are inside the edges (too much of an angle) the snowboarder will not be able to properly pressure the board edge enough to maintain a turn.
