Yes, GOODE makes a Snowflake basket for powder skiing. See Replacement Ski Parts.

How does the Precision Height Adjustment feature work?

GOODE’s INTER-LOCTM READY grip features Precision Height AdjustmentTM. This feature allows the poles to be adjusted three inches (3" or 7.6cm) below the maximum height and back again, all without cutting. This adjustment is made with the provided 5/32 allen wrench. The bolt is loosened and the grip is twisted to the desired position. For example a 50" pole can be adjusted down to 47", or anywhere in between.

I’ve heard composite ski poles are great for recreational skiing, but not desirable for racing or other competitive skiing. Is that true?

No, it is not true. GOODE Carbon Composite Poles- the 9203 and 9205 are ideal for competition. They are lighter, stronger, more shock absorbent, and aerodynamic. Competitors who don’t use GOODE composite Carbon poles are at a distinct disadvantage. In fact, wind tunnel tests conducted at the US Ski Team’s testing facility prove that the GOODE Carbon Composite has only half the wind drag when compared to conventional aluminum poles. The 9205 is specially designed and used by World Cup and Pro Tour racers. The 11mm diameter shaft is 20% stiffer than the popular 9203. This was the pole used by former World Champion and Olympic Medallist Marc Girardelli and A.J. Kitt. Bernhard Knauss preferred the 9203 when he was the US Men’s Pro Tour Champion 1991, 92, 93, 95.

Does GOODE make a curved ski pole?

Yes, GOODE made the first curved carbon pole in the world, exclusively for Marc Girardelli.. This model is now available and is called the Carbon Composite World Cup DH/SG. It is designed for serious racers who demand the best that money can buy. It features an 11.5mm diameter shaft. The suggested manufacturer retail price is $200.00. This is the same pole used by such racing greats as Marc Girardelli and A.J. Kitt.
