Dawn and I enjoyed this past weekend's Big DAWG water ski event in
Michigan. We relocated our Corporate Headquarters in 2004, from
Michigan to Ogden, UT. I had not skied in a tournament in Michigan
since that time. It was really great to see so many of our Michigan
ski friends again!
I'd like to make a special thank you to Jeff, Patti and Whitney
Smith and all the officials and volunteers for putting on a great
event!
During the Big DAWG event, I announced a new ski - the 62.5" GOODE
9900SL - WIDE RIDE (read to the right for more details).
GAINES, MI - Scott Larson won the BIG DAWG Qualifying Stop #2 on
Sunday at Lake Jepawhit in Gaines, MI. Larson scored 4-1/2 buoys @
39-1/2 feet off/ 10.75m to best David Miller's (CAN) score of 4
buoys @ 39-1/2 feet off/10.75m. Ben Favret placed 3rd, but posted
the highest score of the tournament by running 3 buoys@
41'off/10.25m.
The BIG DAWG Championships will be held August 13-14, 2009 as a
separate sanctioned event from the 67th GOODE Water Ski National
Championships at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach, FL.
Past Big Dawg Series champions are Dr. Mike Morgan (2006), Greg
Badal (2007) and Ben Favret (2008).

DEMO A 9900SL, WIDE RIDE, or POWERSHELL FOR ONLY $25.00
OGDEN, UT - GOODE has announced that it is opening up its 9900SL
WIDE RIDE to be part of it's normal Demo Program.
In addition, for a limited time, all demo fees are reduced to
only $25.00.
"We have had a lot of skiers who want to know which ski is
better for them, a traditional 9900SL or a 9900SL WIDE RIDE.",
said Dave Goode. "I have always felt that the best way to know
which brand or model of ski is best for you is to try them all.",
Goode continues. "We have aggressively revised our Demo Program to
make it easier and less costly for skiers to try GOODE Skis, on
their own lake, at their own pace. If they like the ski they demo,
they can keep it, if not, they can just send it back.", Goode
concludes.
For a limited time, until July 31, 2009, you can demo a GOODE
Ski and PowerShell Boots for only $25.00.
This photo and email below was recently sent to GOODE.
"Hi Mary,
Here is the picture you requested of Keith and Keirsten
Andersen with their Goode Skis. Keirsten earned a refurbished 9200
for a straight A report card!
Be well,
Keith "
Way to go Keirsten! What a Dad, Keith!
GOODE ANNOUNCES A NEW SKI - 62.5" 9900SL WIDE RIDE
GAINES, MI - GOODE Skis announced a new ski in its line-up, a
62.5" 9900SL WIDE RIDE, this past weekend, at the Big DAWG
qualifer #2 event.
"Normally GOODE waits to announce new skis at the annual GOODE
Water Ski National Championships in Mid-August.", said Dave Goode.
"However, with the popularity of the 64" and the 66", we felt is
was best to release the ski sooner.", Goode continues. "The 64"
ski has worked well for 34mph/55k skiers in the 160- 190 weight
ranges and we wanted lighter skiers to benefit from the WIDE RIDE,
too.
The bottom design of the 62.5" GOODE 9900SL WIDE RIDE differs
from the full edge-to-edge, full concave design found in the 64"
and 66" WIDE RIDEs. It features a hybrid tunnel design in the
forebody of the ski which forms small rails on the bottom edge
bevels. It also has a lower tip profile.
The 62.5" GOODE 9900SL WIDE RIDE is now available for order and
shipments will be made on a first ordered, first shipped basis.
The 62.5" GOODE 9900SL WIDE RIDE is also available as part of
GOODE's $25.00 Demo Program that expires on July 31, 2009.
