While most of us were celebrating the 4th of July, Regina Jaquess
was celebrating tying the Women's Slalom World Record and setting a
new Women's Overall World Record! It is not every day that World
Records are tied or broken!

More good news came from Jay Leach as he set a new South Central
Record on his GOODE WIDE RIDE.
The BIG DAWG heads to Michigan for the final qualifying tournament
this weekend.
REGINA JAQUESS TIES SLALOM RECORD - SETS OVERALL RECORD
SANTA ROSA BEACH, FL - Regina Jaquess (USA) tied the Women's World
Record (pending) - 1 buoy @ 41' off/10.25m. Regina accomplished
this feat in the second round of a World Record Capable three-
event tournament last weekend at Cory Pickos' lakes.
Regina then went on to set a new Women's Overall World Record
(pending) with the following scores: slalom 1 buoy @
41'off/10.25m, trick 7,350 pts and jump 170'.
When approved, Regina will join Kristi Overton- Johnson (USA)
and Karina Nowlan (AUS) as a Co-World Record Holder. Kristi
Overton-Johnson originally set the Record on Sept. 14, 1996 and
was riding a GOODE 9100.
Nowlan
tied the record on Sept. 21, 2008 while riding a GOODE 9800SL with
PowerShell 4 Boots. Regina rode a GOODE 9900SL with PowerShell 5
boots during her World Record run.
Regina was just selected to the 2009 U.S. Elite Water Ski Team
following the conclusion of the 2009 U.S. Water Ski Team Trials,
June 19-21, in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. The six-member team will
compete in the 31st Water Ski World Championships, Aug. 4-9, in
Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Dawn and Dave were at a water ski tournament in Utah when
Dave's cell phone received an incoming phone call from Regina. "I
have something to tell you!", Regina told Dave. "I just ran
1@41'off! I am so excited! I am still dripping wet but I just had
to let you know right away!", continued Regina. "I just love my
GOODE 9900SL and new PowerShell 5 boots. Thank you for building
such great skis and boots!"
GOODE Skis posted the news within seconds on
TWITTER.
Regina has a long list of slalom wins, including the 2005 World
Championships (she was riding a GOODE 9600) and the 2008 Masters
(she was riding a GOODE 9800SL).
COVINGTON, LA - Jay Leach set a new AWSA South Central Record
(pending) by running 3 buoys @ 41' off/10.25m last weekend at Ski
Ranch.
Two weeks ago, Jay tied the previous record of 2.5 buoys @
41'off/10.25m held by Chad Scott.
Jay was riding his 9900SL WIDE RIDE and PowerShell 5 boots.
Jay wrote a text to Dave Goode, "Just broke a Regional Record
at the Ski Ranch with 3@41. Thanks for a great ski!" The next day,
Jay wrote Dave the following text, "Just ran another 3@41' off and
went to 4 and hit 4 ball. It will go down this year."

WIDE RIDE to be part of it's normal Demo Program.

HUNTSVILLE, UT - GOODE Skis win the annual 4th of July snow ski
race held at Snowbasin Ski Resort.
GOODE Skis finished 1st and 2nd in the women's open division
and 2nd in the men's open division.
"Dawn and I had the fastest times for anyone over 50 years
old.", said Dave Goode. "We both had the 2nd fastest run of the
day overall, too!", Goode continues. "It was fun to be in a water
ski tournament yesterday and then a snow ski race here today!"
