With summer in "full-swing", water ski tournaments are occuring all
over the world!
The Pros just competed in a $30,000.00 cash prize event in Michigan
and here in Utah, on GOODE Ski Lake, we held our first midweek
tournament (see third article below).
On July 4th, Dawn and I will be racing in the Firecracker Snow Ski
Race (that is right, SNOW) at our local Snowbasin Ski Resort!
ALLENDALE, MI - The inaugural Global Marine Invitational concluded
Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Placid Waters, in Allendale, MI. The
competition featured men's slalom and jumping and a cash-prize
purse of $30,000.
Will Asher (GBR) won the men's slalom competition. GOODE Team
Skier, Nick Parsons (USA-UTAH), finished 2nd place in the
head-to-head finals.
"I am happy with my finish.", said Nick Parsons.
"I
had just hopped onto a new ski and it was working quite well. I
have a few small set-up changes and I'll have it completely dialed
in.", Parsons continues. "I want to thank everyone for putting on
such a great event! A special thanks to Dana Reed for all of his
coordination and effort.", concludes Parsons.
Nick rode a GOODE 9900SL and PowerShell 5 boots during the
competition.
Freddy Krueger (USA) jumped 225 feet in the finals to earn the
jump victory. Jaret Llewellyn (CAN) finished second with a
223-foot jump and Jason Seels (GBR) was third with a 222-foot
jump.
OGDEN, UT - GOODE Ski Lake's first tournament was held midweek on
Tuesday, June 23, 2009. There were 15 registered skiers and a
couple of Personal Bests.
"It was our first competition at GOODE Ski Lake.", said Dave
Goode. "We decided to host the tournament midweek as not to
interfere with other tournament schedules.", continues Goode. "We
had competitors from all over Utah and other western states. We
had a beautiful day with the air temperatures in the mid 80's and
the water temp was 75.", Goode concludes.
GOODE will be hosting its next class "C" tournament on
Wednesday, July 15, 2009.
DEMO A 9900SL, WIDE RIDE, or POWERSHELL FOR ONLY $25.00
OGDEN, UT - GOODE has announced that it is opening up its 9900SL
WIDE RIDE to be part of it's normal Demo Program.
In addtion, for a limited time, all demo fees are reduced to
only $25.00.
"We have had alot of skiers who want to know which ski is
better for them, a traditional 9900SL or a 9900SL WIDE RIDE.",
said Dave Goode. "I have always felt that the best way to know
which brand or model of ski is best for you is to try them all.",
Goode continues. "We have aggressively revised our Demo Program to
make it easier and less costly for skiers to try GOODE Skis, on
their own lake, at their own pace. If they like the ski they demo,
they can keep it, if not, they can just send it back.", Goode
concludes.
For a limited time, until July 31, 2009, you can demo a GOODE
Ski and PowerShell Boots for only $25.00.
OGDEN, UT - You can now receive live TWEETS from GOODE Skis on
TWITTER.
GOODE Skis will be using the social networking tool, TWITTER,
to keep you up-to-date on the many happenings at GOODE!
"Our E-Newsletter and Blog provide a good media for everyone to
keep up-to-date, however, TWITTER will allow us to keep our
customers informed when we can not be by our computers, or when
they can not be by theirs.", said Dave Goode. "It is a good, fun
tool to use to communicate.", Goode continues. "We plan to use
TWITTER for those 'short and sweet need to know now' messages.",
concludes Goode.
