Early dawn. Late sunset. Long day. Short night. For all of us in
the northern hemisphere, the June 21st solstice marks the longest day
of the year. It's our signal to celebrate the first day of summer in
this hemisphere. For our friends south of the equator, winter begins.
Last weekend was an exciting time for competitive water skiing!
Dawn and I watched Dave Miller (CAN) set a new 34.2mph/55k World
Record (Pending) to win the first stop of the Big Dawg Series. Karina
Nowlan (AUS) continued her dominance and won the NC Women's Pro Tour
Stop, with Karen Truelove finishing second.

June 14th, which was held at the beautiful Ski Ranch in Covington,
LA. In the finals, on his way to victory, Dave set a new pending
Canadian and World Record by running 4 buoys at 41'off/10.25m at

and early at 3 buoy, I really think that I could have run the
whole thing!", Miller continued. "My firm flexing GOODE 9900SL
really helped me in the warm/soft water to keep the ski moving at
the end of the turn. I want to thank Dave Goode for building a
great ski for me.", Miller concludes.
Dave rode a GOODE 9900SL and PowerShell 5 boots during his
record setting runs.
Mike
Baldwin (pictured on the left, next to Dave Miller) finished in
fourth place riding his GOODE 9900SL WIDE RIDE. There were more
