COVINGTON, LA - Mike Royal set a new World Record in the V1
division (totally blind) of 4 buoys at 14.25m/58kph (28
off/36mph).
"Mike, It gives me great pleasure to inform you that your
performance of 4 buoys at 14.25m/58kph, skied at the Ski Ranch
Spring Slalom #1 tournament, in Covington, LA on May 16, has been
recognized as a new world record in the V1 division. You will
receive a certificate recognizing this achievement in due time.
You should be very proud.", said Jim Grew, IWSF Disabled Council
Technical Committee Chair.
Royal will return to Ski Ranch, Covington, LA on July 3- 4 to
try to add to his current World Record. In September, Royal should
get the opportunity to go heads up with the current record holder
at the 2009 IWSF Disabled Water Ski Championships to be held in
Vichy, France.

OGDEN, UTAH - It was one year ago, amidst a big celebration, that
the Mayor of Ogden, Utah renamed the 21st Street Pond the "GOODE
Ski Lake".
"All of us are overwhelmed with the realization of the vision
of the lake.", said Mayor Matthew Godfrey. "It will be a
tremendous introduction to people as the gateway to Ogden. GOODE
Ski Lake fits well with our City's efforts to become an outdoor
recreation mecca."

a World-Class water ski venue located in Downtown Ogden, Utah.",

Lake. Nick is currently ranked on the World Standings List.
