WEST PALM BEACH, FL - GOODE announced the new 9900SL Series
of skis, the GOODE PowerVest System and the new PowerShell
5 today at the start of the 2008 GOODE Water Ski National
Championships.
The 9900SL Series consists of two different skis. The 9900SL
"Wide Ride" and a traditionally shaped 9900SL.
The PowerVest System reduces load to your upperbody and back
and allows skiers to ski "stronger".
The GOODE PowerShell 5 is the next generation of the
PowerShell System and is all new for 2009!
9900SL SERIES ANNOUNCED
The 9900SL Series consists of two different skis. The 9900SL "Wide
Ride" and a traditionally shaped 9900SL.
The 9900SL "WIDE RIDE" from GOODE has and extra wide
forebody to help provide support at the buoy while running
short-line. The 9900SL "WIDE RIDE" is the result of a two year R &
D project. US National Champion, Nick Parsons (pictured to the
right), has risen to #3 on the Elite World Standing List using the
"WIDE RIDE".
Skiers trying the WIDE RIDE for the first time immediately feel
the additional support at the buoy and also increased speed across
course.
Another ski that has been announced is the 9900SL. The 9900SL
is a traditionally shaped ski, similar to previous GOODE Ski
Models.
The new 9900SL ski is the next generation of the winning
9800SL. The 9900SL has a firmer flex/torsion ratio than its
predecessor. Like the 9900SL "WIDE RIDE", the 9900SL uses an extra
layer of a new premium grade PURE Carbon Fiber. The 9900SL is
designed so that skiers can make an easy transition from previous
GOODE ski models.
"I am really happy with these two new ski models. The 9900SL
WIDE RIDE requires a skier to ski a different technique to take
advantage of its size, whereas the 9900SL is an instant
performance increase over previous GOODE models.", said
Dave Goode.
Both the 9900SL WIDE RIDE and the 9900SL are now available for
order.
The GOODE PowerVest System features PowerGrip Gloves,
Power-Straps, a Load Distribution Panel (which is attached to the
Power Waist-Belt) and a Vest to hold everything together and
provide floatation.
The PowerVest System reduces load to your back in a similar
fashion to that of a hiking backpack . You want to carry the load
(or weight) on your hips, not your upper body and back.
By reducing excessive load forces to your upper body and back,
the PowerVest reduces muscle fatigue, reduces the repetitive
compressive load on your back and increases your strength and
endurance.

The GOODE PowerShell 5 is the next generation of the
PowerShellTM System and is all new for 2009!
The PowerShell 5 features an internal reinforced lower front
boot, micro-adjustable aluminum "snow ski" style buckles, an
aluminum hinge system, non- skid plate and optional heel lifters
for front and back boots.
The internal reinforced lower front boots make the lower
portion of the front boot stiffer, which helps improve angle
behind the boat. The micro-adjustable aluminum "snow ski" style
buckles are feather-light and snap securely in place. All the
components on the PowerShell 5 will not rust.
WEST PALM BEACH, FL - The 66th GOODE Water Ski National
Championships began Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Okeeheelee Park in
West Palm Beach.
