Greetings,
I hope you are having an enjoyable winter! It has been
snowing so hard in Utah that the snow banks to our front door
are shoulder high! Utah is living up to its reputation for "The
Greatest Snow on Earth".
Dawn and I have had a chance to 'escape' winter's grasp by
visiting our friends at Imperial Lakes, CA and to stretch our
water ski muscles. As we all know, the start of this year's
water ski season is right around the corner!
Thank you for choosing GOODE!

SNOW SKIING WITH WATER SKIERS |
 |
Dawn and Dave visited Aspen, CO earlier this month for a
day of snow skiing with world renowned water ski
coaches, Chet Raley and Arturo Nelson. The Goodes were
hosted in Aspen by National Medalist, George Levien, and
also met up with Belgian National Champion Wim DeCree
and National Competitor Dennis Chambon.
"It was a great day on the snow!" said Dave Goode.
"It was fun to snow ski with some of the best water
skiers in the world! I was totally amazed by how well
everyone skied." Goode continued. "It just goes to prove
how similar water skiing and snow skiing techniques are
to each other."
Many of the world's best water skiers find time in
the off season for some snow skiing. It is great cross-
training and helps aid with balance. |

NICK PARSONS ON COVER OF WATERSKI MAGAZINE |
 |
GOODE Team Skier Nick Parsons is featured on the
cover of the March 2008 issue of WaterSki Magazine. Nick
stunned the world of water skiing last year by winning 3
major tournaments, including the Prince's Pro-Am and the
Open Division of the 2007 GOODE Water Ski
National Championships.
"At close to 6'5" and 205 lbs, Nick has the perfect
physique for water skiing. Combine that with his
terrific technique and his GOODE equipment, it
makes for a powerful combination", says Dave Goode. "I
have to hand it to the editors of WaterSki Magazine for
identifying Nick as a rising 'SuperStar' ", Goode
continues. "I know we will be seeing a lot more of Nick
this summer." Goode concludes.
Nick Parsons lives in Bountiful, UT and spends much
of the winter snow skiing in the mountains of Utah.

SKI TESTS |
 |
WaterSki Magazine's ski tests are completed and here is
what was said about the GOODE 9800SL.
"The GOODE 9800 SL's asymmetric design is yet
another example of Dave Goode's endless pursuit of
innovation. In addition to being incredibly light and
coming in various flex patterns for different skill and
weight levels the SL comes in right-foot-forward and
left-foot-forward versions. These versions are designed
to equalize a skiers turns on both sides of the wake.
Skiers with a wide variety of styles will find they
can be immediately comfortable on the 9800 SL. Technical
skiers who maintain a neutral stance and ski with an
unhurried tempo will find exceptional speed, angle and
width. Turns on both sides of the wake are symmetrical,
smooth and carving. This ski offers world-class
performance to skiers of all levels, although it's
unusually sensitive to fin and binding settings. To
increase performance and prevent issues with skiers not
mounting their bindings properly, Goode has engineered a
universal binding mounting system that attaches to the
ski without the need for drilling holes." (from page 72,
March 2008 issue of WaterSki Magazine.)
