I hope you are enjoying your autumn season! If you are
like me, the 2007 competition season is nearing conclusion.
Over the weekend, I enjoyed watching the webcast of the Big
Dawg Finals in Orlando, receiving phone updates from
BoardStock in California, and watching it snow in my
backyard!
Autumn is alway a great time to try new equipment. The
pressure of the tournament season is behind you, your
muscles are strong and your timing is good. I am really
pleased with all of the great feedback I have received from
skiers using the new GOODE 9800SL. Please give us a call if
you would like to try one.
I am also pleased to announce the launching of a new
website 'goodedealz.com'. See below for all the details.
BRENTWOOD, CA - This year's Diablo Shores Pro-Am
event proved to be another huge success. This is the
4th year that Greg and Debbie Badal have hosted this
annual event at their lake. The event brings in the
World's best skiers.
Nick Parsons, skiing a modified GOODE 9800SL, had
the high score of the Pro Division running a
Personal Best of 3@41' off. Will Asher, using a
GOODE Power Shell boot system won the head-to-head
event and a check for $5,000.00.
In addition to the Pro Division, this Pro-Am
event also features an Amateur Division. Greg Badal
won the Amateur Division followed by Eric Yamasaki,
Brett Yager and Dave Goode for 2nd, 3rd and 4th
places.
"What an awesome event!", said Dave Goode. "The
Pro-Am and head-to-head format made for an exciting
tournament. It was only my second head-to-head
competition ever and to win $600.00 for 4th place
was lots of fun!", Goode continues. "Skiing here
gave me a whole new appreciation of the head-to-head
format. It really requires a high level of fitness
to make it to the finals. GOODE is proud to be a
sponsor of such a great event. Hats off to Greg and
Debbie Badal for doing such a great job.", Goode
concludes.
2007 marks GOODE's second season as a sponsor of
the Diablo Shores Pro-Am Tournament.
Fresh off of his World Championship victory, Thomas
Degasperi (Italy) won the 2007 European Water Ski
Championships held in Recetto, Italy. He was
followed by his countryman, Fabio Ianni, in second
place. Ivan Morros (Spain) was 3rd. GOODE Skis and
PowerShell boots placed 1st and 2nd.
BOARDSTOCK 2007 CONCLUDES
After the Diablo Pro-Am Tournament, many of the Pros
headed to Clear Lake for BoardStock. Run on a 4-
buoy course, Clear Lake turns out to be the best
location for the huge BoardStock event. This year
Konocti Vista Casino stepped up to the challenge of
hosting the 50,000 people that showed up to watch.
Konocti Vista Casino is just outside of Lakeport on
the edge of Clear Lake in Northern California.

GREG BADAL WINS, CHAD SCOTT SECOND IN BIG DAWG
FINALS
WINTER GARDEN, FL - Greg Badal of Brentwood, CA, won
the 2nd Annual Ski Nautique Big Dawg Slalom
Championships held at the Isles of Lake Hancock.
Badal ran 3 @ 39-1/2 feet off in defeating Chad
Scott (pictured above) who ran 2-1/2 buoys at 39-1/2
feet off in the head to head finals. Badal won
$5,000 for the victory.
"Greg really skied well all season. His win shows
how important physical strength and training are in
our sport.", said Dave Goode. "I had to go
head-to-head against Greg last weekend at the Diablo
Shores Pro-Am and it really makes you appreciate how
difficult it is to win in the Big Dawg format.",
Goode continues. "The competition was fierce. I was
happy to see so many competitors skiing on GOODE
Skis. It was great to have two of the top three
skiers skiing on GOODE Skis.", concludes Goode.
In the round of 8, Chad Scott defeated last
year's Big Dawg Championships' 2nd place finisher,
Ben Favret. Chad was skiing on a GOODE 9800 and Ben
Favret was skiing on an 11 year old, GOODE 9100. "It
is amazing that Ben is still skiing on his original
ski. It shows how GOODE Skis do not breakdown or
change flex, even after many seasons of hard use.",
said Dave Goode.
Correct Craft announced that the Big Dawg
tournaments will continue in 2008. GOODE will again
be a proud sponsor.
