Dear Skier, Hello from Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia! Dawn and I travelled over 3,000 miles round trip this weekend to watch the world's best skiers compete at the 48th Master's Water Ski Championships.
The competition was intense and terrific to watch.
Although summer is officially about 3 weeks away, Memorial Day usually marks the unofficial start of summer and the beginning of the tournament season.

THE 48th MASTER'S TOURNAMENT NICK PARSONS COMPETES AT THE MASTERS POWERSHELL BOOTS DOMINATE MASTERS CAROLINE HENSLEY WINS JUNIOR MASTERS 2007 SKI ODYESSY CONTEST ANNOUNCED
NICK PARSONS COMPETES AT THE MASTERS Nick Parsons from Bountiful, UT, made the elite cut of top ten in the world to receive an invitation to compete in this year's Master's Tournament.
"This was Nick's first invitation to the Master's", said Dave Goode. "I have been working closely with Nick to help get his 9800 and PowerShell perfectly dialed for him. At 6'5", 205 lbs., Nick has a perfect build for a slalom skier and has a tremendous technique."
In the elimitation round, Nick scored 5 buoys at 38' off on a course that saw skiers like World Champion Will Asher fall at 1-1/2 buoys at 35' off.

CAROLINE HENSLEY WINS JUNIOR MASTERS Caroline Hensley claimed the female Overall Champion title for 2007 with a total score of 2937 points, placing first in slalom and second in tricks. Costard from France placed second overall behind Hensley.
There was a run-off for the slalom title between Caroline Hensley and Danielle Shipe. Caroline, riding her GOODE Ski, edged Danielle out by one buoy for the victory.

2007 SKI ODYESSY CONTEST ANNOUNCED Details of the 2007 SKI ODYSSEY CONTEST have been announced! Grand Prize is a fun filled water ski adventure vacation for 2 to Costa Rica.
A Random drawing will be held at the 2007 GOODE Water Ski Nationals, Saturday, August 18th at 9:00am. You need not be present to win.
THE 48th MASTER'S TOURNAMENT Competition at the prestigious 48th Master's Water Ski Tournament concluded Sunday at Callaway Gardens on Robin Lake where Sarah Green was victorious in the women's slalom discipline, winning two years in a row with a run of 4.5@35-off. GOODE sponsored skiers Regina Jaquess and Michelle Simpson finished second and third. In the men's slalom event, Jamie Beauschesne knew what he had to do to edge out Wade Cox by two buoys with a great run of 5@39-off, to claim the Masters Men's Slalom title, followed by Cox and Chris Rossi who placed third.
The Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament is the most prestigious invitation-only tournament in the world presented by Nautiques by Correct Craft and sanctioned by USA Waterski and USA Wakeboard.
