GOODE ANNOUNCES THE NEW 9700 |

Today at 8:00am EDT, at the start of the 63rd GOODE Water Ski
National Championships, Dave Goode introduced GOODE's newest all
Carbon Fiber water ski - the GOODE 9700.
"Past history indicates that we normally introduce a new model
ski about every two years. However, the test results of the early
prototypes of the 9700 were so good that we knew that we had
developed something really special.", said Dave Goode. "We therefore
decided to introduce the 9700 at this year's Nationals", Goode
continues. "I really like the performance of the 9700. It is the
most powerful ski we have ever built.", Goode concludes.
GOODE began customer shipments of the 9700 in early July with a
"9600 sticker" to disguise the 9700 graphic. Customers who received
those early skis were asked not to reveal the 9700 graphics until
today. "We wanted to get the 9700 out as soon as possible, however,
we wanted to make the official announcement at the start of the
GOODE Water Ski National Championships.", said Dave Goode. "I
appreciate all of the early 9700 customers who helped to make today
a truly special day!"
The 9700 has already made an impressive showing by winning events
at the 2005 Western, Southern and the South Central Regional
Championships.

The 63rd GOODE Water Ski National Championships, presented by
Speedo, begins at 8 a.m. Tuesday at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm
Beach, Florida. Nearly 1,000 water ski athletes - ages 6 through 92
- from across the United States will compete in 27 age divisions and
two Open divisions for titles in slalom, tricks and jumping.
Athletes competing in all three events will be eligible for overall
titles. The five-day tournament concludes this Saturday.
"This is our sixth consecutive year as the Title Sponsor for the
Nationals", said Dave Goode. "It is an honor to be the sponsor of
the world's largest water ski tournament.", Goode continues. "I
thoroughly enjoy watching the intense competition from all age
groups. Let the tournament begin!", Goode proclaims.
