OPEN STIRS CONTROVERSY |
 |
The
water ski world was shocked to learn of Dr. Jim Michaels
movable course at the Malibu Open last weekend. Michaels
skied first off the dock in the qualifyihg round. When
he was done, skiers noticed all six skier buoys moving
outward. Michaels was competing to win in the $100,000+
cash prize tournament.
"I am not suprised Michaels is a fraud.",
said Dave Goode. "In fact, I alerted two skiers
that were competing there to inspect for possible buoy
movement. I have studied the sport for many years and
watching videos of Dr. Michaels ski just did not make
sense.", Goode adds.
"It feels as if someone has entered our house
and 'trashed' it. I know USA Water Ski will take
appropriate action towards all persons involved.",
Goode concludes.
Rumors have circulated about Michaels taking steriods,
too. Click below for more information on Dr. Michaels
cheating.

SKIER WINS BAYOU BIG DAWG |
 |
Jeff Danos rode his GOODE ski to victory at the 2005
Bayou Big Dawg tournament this weekend in Covington, LA.
The Big Dawg is a head-to-head cash prize tournament for
34mph skiers.
Tournament Director, Chad Scott, riding his GOODE
9600, finished 3rd. Chad was the only skier to run 39-
1/2' off twice during the event.
"What a great event. Dawn and I were unable to
attend, however, I kept in close contact with Chad about
how the event was progressing. The Ski Ranch site ranks
one of the top sites in the World. GOODE is proud to
have been a sponsor of the 2005 Bayou Big Dawg.",
said Dave Goode.

VISITS KANSAS |
 |
"Water Skiing is alive and well in
Kansas!", claims Dave Goode. "Dawn and I had a
meeting in Witchita, KS on Friday and we were fortunate
enough to have received an invitation to a local Class
"C" tournament on Saturday.", GOODE adds.
"Everyone was so friendly and the tournament was
run perfectly. I was touched when many of the younger
skiers wanted me to sign their skis, shirts, etc."
"Thank you Mystic Lakes for the great day and
special thanks to GOODE Skiers and friends, Jon and
Chris Carr, for their kind assistance.",Goode
