GOODE
9400 Ranked Top Performance Water Ski By OLN-TV’s "GearGuide":
Testing to Air July 29
Waterford, MI, July 22, 2002—GOODE’s Carbon Composite Water
Ski-- the 9400, recently earned a top ranking in the Outdoor
Life Network’s (OLN) original series, "Gear Guide".
The Goode 9400 earned top marks for "High Performance Slalom
Skis". According to Associate Producer, Lisa Densmore, the 9400
earned an average 3.66 star rating (out of 4 stars). Three
manufacturers voluntarily participated in the ski test: KD, HO and
GOODE . The "Water Ski Gear Guide" episode will air
Monday, July 29 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT (check your local listings). For
more information go to www.olntv.com
After the program airs, the test results will be posted on the OLN web
site.
Explained Densmore of OLN, "Gear Guide features products that
are new, have unique technology, or are best sellers. It takes a ‘Consumer
Reports’ approach to its testing. We like to mention what makes a
product special, then say whether the innovation(s) works. Each
product on Gear Guide receives a rating from one (1) to four (4) stars
by each of our field testers. We purposely select field testers of
different sizes, sexes, and backgrounds to insure all viewer interests
are covered."
The show features tests on outdoor products including: alpine
skiing, cycling, kayaking, fishing and hiking. The recent testing was
headed-up by water skiing great Sammy Duvall and held at his water ski
facility near Orlando, Florida. The testing took place in June.
Says Dave Goode, "Naturally we’re honored to have received
the highest water ski ranking. I believe this is the first time OLN-TV
tested water skis. Last August, we received OLN’s
GG Award. Our GOODE 9303
Carbon Composite Ski Poles topped Scott and Kerma in the alpine
ski pole category. This lightweight, high performance pole earned four
stars for its aerodynamic shaft, strength, and shock absorbency. Now I
hope they invite us to participate in the testing of alpine skis. Our
new line of Carbon Composite snow skis will debut this fall."
